Am I going to be the slowest person out there at an Orlando 5K?
Across the 18 RunSignup 5K editions with published results on RunSesh, walkers and charity entrants included, the median finisher crossed the line at 38:47 and the median last finisher at 1:09:09. Fields here tend to include a wide spread of paces, so the back of the pack is well populated. You are unlikely to be running alone at the end.
Which Orlando 5Ks are good options if I want to race on a weekday or fit one into a specific month?
September is the busiest month, with 7 races. May is the quietest, with 1. Fall overall (September through November) carries 19 races, so if your training block peaks in autumn, you have the most options to choose from. Summer (June through August) has only 4 races, which reflects how seriously Orlando takes its heat.
What is this going to cost me, and should I register early?
Paid entry fees range from $20 to $130, and the typical fee sits at $39. One race is free to enter. Of the 41 races here, 19 already have a price increase scheduled, so registering early is a practical move for more than half the calendar - not just general advice.
Will I get a shirt or a medal?
33 races say they give a shirt, and 7 say they give a medal. 7 races have published nothing about giveaways at all, so those are unknowns rather than confirmed no-shirt events. If swag matters to you, it is worth checking the race page directly before assuming either way.
Is there anyone to train with in Orlando before race day?
There are eight run clubs active in the area:
- Orlando Runners Club

Several of them cluster around the Lake Eola and Mills 50 areas, close to where race mornings tend to start.
