About This Club

Orlando Runners Club has been running out of Winter Park and College Park since 1976, which makes it one of the longer-running setups in the area. It's a non-profit social club built around weekly group runs for all paces, with a Sunday long run tradition that's been going for over 35 years. If you want a regular running habit with people who show up week after week, this is that kind of club.

  • Founded 1976
  • OG Orlando running crew
  • Weekly fun runs with food/drink perks
  • Sunday long run tradition over 35 years
  • Race discounts
  • Holiday party
  • Annual picnic
  • Retail discounts with club ID

Who It Suits

This suits someone who wants a consistent weekly run, doesn't mind pavement over trail, and likes the idea of pizza discounts or a free beer after with other members. It's not built for ultra training, trail running, or a hard-charging competitive pace group. If you're bringing a dog or a stroller, this isn't the club for that either, since neither is accommodated.

What a Run With Them Is Like

Runs range from 3 to 10 miles on roads, streets and pavement, so no trail shoes needed. Sunday long runs hold roughly 8:00-10:00 min/mile, and the rest of the week's runs are open to all paces. With meetups spread across mornings (Wed-Sun, 6-7am) and evenings (Mon-Thu, 7pm), you can find a slot that fits your schedule rather than rearranging your week around one run time.

Your First Run

You don't need to join or pay anything to try a run, just check the fun runs schedule on their website to see which route and meeting spot is on for that day, whether that's Mellow Mushroom Winter Park, Cady Way Pool, or Park Ave. Get there a bit early since routes are announced then, and bring your own water.

Walkers are welcome and the club is set up for beginners, so showing up without a pace in mind isn't a problem here, the range in the group is part of the setup, not something you have to apologize for.
