Common Questions About the Holiday 5K & 10K at Orlando, FL (50)

Will I finish last at the Holiday 5K & 10K at Orlando, FL (50)?

Almost certainly not. Half the 10K field finished slower than 1:01:02, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:15:37, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Holiday 5K & 10K at Orlando, FL (50) a good first 10K?

It is a small race (10 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 10K, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Holiday 5K & 10K at Orlando, FL (50)?

The 10K winner ran 44:34 while the median finisher took 1:01:02. That spread points to a relatively quick field, so expect a competitive front end.

Where can I train for the Holiday 5K & 10K at Orlando, FL (50)?

Join a local run club. Orlando Runners Club, Home State Run Club, Park Brewing Run Club and others in Orlando welcome runners of all paces, and a weekly group run is the most reliable way to hold a training block together.
