About the OCBA Law Day 5K - 13th Annual

The course runs around Lake Baldwin Park, a road loop through a park setting in Orlando. The route is flat and follows the lake edge, so there is water in view for most of the run. The race draws heavily from the local legal community, with proceeds going to civil legal aid programs, which gives the morning a purposeful feel without being a formal affair.

Packet pickup opens before the race at the park, near a large fountain that also serves as a landmark for the start area. The start itself goes off promptly after the National Anthem. Food and refreshments are on hand after you finish.

Common Questions About the OCBA Law Day 5K - 13th Annual

Will I finish last at the OCBA Law Day 5K - 13th Annual?

Almost certainly not. Half the 3.1 Miles field finished slower than 44:34, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:33:29, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the OCBA Law Day 5K - 13th Annual a good first 3.1 Miles?

A field of 639 is big enough that you will have company at your pace without feeling lost in a crowd. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 3.1 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the OCBA Law Day 5K - 13th Annual?

The 3.1 Miles winner ran 20:05 while the median finisher took 44:34. That spread points to a broad, mostly recreational field rather than a race dominated by club runners.

Where can I train for the OCBA Law Day 5K - 13th Annual?
