About This Club

This is a weekly Wednesday night 5k out of Ivanhoe Park Brewing Company in Orlando's Ivanhoe District, built around a fun loop rather than a workout. It's free, no membership needed, and the point is as much the beer and raffle after as the run itself. If you want a low-pressure reason to run once a week and then stand around with a drink, this fits.

  • Brewery-based
  • Fun 5k loop
  • Local business raffles
  • Free beer
  • Raffle prizes

Who It Suits

This suits beginners, walkers, and people who want a social Wednesday night with a run attached to it, plus anyone who likes the idea of free beer and raffle prizes as the reward. It's explicitly not aimed at competitive racers looking for pace work, and it won't suit early morning runners since it's a 7pm start. It's also not set up for strollers or dogs, so leave both at home.

What a Run With Them Is Like

It's a 5k fun loop on flat, paved ground, so no trail shoes or hill prep required. The pace is described as all paces welcome, runners go at their own pace, and walkers are explicitly welcome, so there's no fixed group pace to keep up with. Expect a casual, come-as-you-are Wednesday evening rather than a structured tempo or interval session.

Your First Run

Show up at Ivanhoe Park Brewing Company, 1300 Alden Rd, by 7pm when the run starts. Sign in when you get there since that's what gets you into the beer and raffle afterward.

It's free and there's no membership or signup required in advance, so you can just walk in. Because it's beginner-friendly and walkers are welcome, nobody's going to be waiting on you at the finish, run or walk it at whatever pace gets you around.
