About the Keri Anne DeMott Foundation World Day of Remembrance 5k/10k

This race is organized by a foundation built around the loss of a young woman killed by a repeat DUI offender, and many runners carry that weight personally. The course is a loop, repeated for the longer distance, and it is professionally timed with awards for top finishers and a cup given to the largest first responder agency in attendance.

A ceremony and tribute happen just before the start, so plan to arrive early enough to take that in. After the race, a community safety festival runs on-site with activities and local organizations focused on road safety.
