About
Running Is Better Together
We built RunSesh to help you find your people. Whether it's your first run club or your fifth city, we'll help you find the club, the races, and the community that actually fit you.
Whether you laced up for the first time last week or you’ve been logging miles for decades, finding the right run club can change everything. Not just your splits. Your whole relationship with the sport.
That’s what RunSesh is here for.
What We Do
RunSesh is a running club directory built around one simple idea: finding your next run shouldn’t be hard, and it definitely shouldn’t be boring.
We research and compile detailed listings for run clubs across major US cities so you can quickly figure out which one actually fits you. Not just the basics like when and where, but the stuff that matters. What’s the vibe? Is it competitive or casual? Great for beginners? Heavy on the social side? Trail-focused or road only?
We also list races: 5Ks, half marathons, marathons, and trail races, so you always have something to train toward. And for those who want to take their love of running somewhere new, we list Runners Retreats from around the world.
For run clubs themselves, we want to help too. Most clubs have their information scattered across old websites and social profiles. We want to change that by giving each club a well-organized, accurate home on RunSesh, and down the road, connecting clubs with sponsorship opportunities if that’s something they’re interested in.
Why We Built It
Hi, we’re Andrew and Ashley.
Andrew has been running for over 35 years. Track in school, triathlons after that, then a decade coaching endurance athletes online. He has a degree in Exercise Science and a master’s in Sports Management. These days he’s a trail runner going at whatever pace feels right, and he loves it every bit as much as he did back then.
He also noticed something: most run club directories out there were pretty thin on useful information. A name, maybe a city, and not much else. Runners deserved better than that.
Ashley came to it through a different door. A competitive figure skater growing up, she started running when the two of us got together and never really stopped. She’s managed exercise-induced asthma the whole time, but she’s too competitive to walk away from anything she’s started. She fell even harder for the sport after we moved West and had real scenery to explore.
She spent years working at a local running store, starting as assistant manager and eventually running the place. Behind that counter she watched what a real running community can do. Regulars who came as much for each other as for the miles. A teammate who lost over 100 pounds because she had people showing up for her every week. The store kept them coming back with group runs, race sponsorships, and events that made the whole thing feel like more than exercise.
Between the two of us, that’s decades on the roads, the track, the trails, and behind the counter. RunSesh isn’t a faceless directory. It’s built by two people who love this sport and have spent our lives in it.
For Every Kind of Runner
If you’re new to running, we especially want to help you. Finding the right club early can be the difference between burning out after a month and becoming someone who genuinely looks forward to every single run. The right group will meet you where you are, push you just enough, and make you feel like you belong.
If you’re a seasoned runner looking for a new community after a move or just a change of scenery, we’ve got you too.
Running is for everyone, however you want to do it. Solo at sunrise or in a crowd on Saturday morning. Racing every month or never racing at all. Fast, slow, first-timer, or lifer. There’s no right way and no gatekeeping here. Just the run, and the people who make it better.
