Orlando running is shaped by water. Race mornings here tend to have that same texture: urban, flat, and social, with coffee and breweries never far from the finish line.
The heat is real, and locals know it. Organizers schedule accordingly, which is why the race calendar spreads across the full year rather than clustering in one season.

The median winner crossed in 44:48, and the median last finisher came in at 1:33:52. Those editions averaged a field of 41 runners, so these are relatively intimate events where the back of the pack is never far behind the front.
Entry fees run from $22 up to $130, with a typical fee of $40. The runDisney events sit at the expensive end of that range, while smaller local races come in much closer to the low end. If you want the widest choice of races and cooler conditions, plan your training block around fall - though Orlando's calendar stays active year-round, and the summer events are deliberately designed for the heat.
