Atlanta is a BeltLine town first. Training runs chain together the Eastside Trail, Piedmont Park loops, and Freedom Park Trail almost by instinct, and the social run scene clusters tightly around Ponce City Market, Midtown, and a string of coffee shops and taprooms that have made Saturday-morning group runs a genuine institution here.
The terrain keeps you honest - Piedmont Park rolls, neighborhood streets pitch and drop, and even the paved BeltLine path mixes grades from one segment to the next.
