About the Race4Grace/Atlanta

Race4Grace runs out of a large office park right next to Truist Park. The course offers a couple of distance options, so runners come in with different goals. The race benefits the Bentley-Grace Foundation, which supports inclusion and adaptive athletics for people with disabilities, and that mission is visible in how the event carries itself.

Parking is directly under the start and finish area, so arrival is straightforward. After you finish, a bridge connects the venue to The Battery, where the post-race gathering continues with a live band and food. It is a good setup for anyone bringing family along.

Common Questions About the Race4Grace/Atlanta

Will I finish last at the Race4Grace/Atlanta?

Almost certainly not. Half the 3.1 Miles field finished slower than 20:45, and the last recorded finisher came in around 20:45, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Race4Grace/Atlanta a good first 3.1 Miles?

It is a small race (2 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 3.1 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Race4Grace/Atlanta?

The 3.1 Miles winner ran 20:45 while the median finisher took 20:45. That spread points to a relatively quick field, so expect a competitive front end.

Where can I train for the Race4Grace/Atlanta?

Join a local run club. Atlanta Run Club, Atlanta Track Club, Chattahoochee Road Runners and others in Atlanta welcome runners of all paces, and a weekly group run is the most reliable way to hold a training block together.
