About This Club

Atlanta Run Club is a free, citywide run crew with four weekly meetups spread across Atlanta neighborhoods including Ponce City Market, Atlanta Chinatown, and Cam Kirk Studios. There is no membership, no sign-up, and no fee - you just show up. They describe themselves as welcoming all paces and fitness levels, and walking is explicitly part of what they do.

  • Free weekly runs
  • No sign-up required
  • Multiple route options
  • Flexible distance choices
  • Pace grouping by ability

Who It Suits

This club works well if you want flexibility - multiple days, a wide distance range, and a structure that lets walkers and slower runners participate without feeling like stragglers. If you are training for a specific race and need a structured speed workout or a set long run distance week to week, this crew is probably not your primary training group.

What a Run With Them Is Like

Distances range from 1 mile up to 6 miles depending on the day, so you are not locked into one effort level. On Monday and Saturday runs, pace cones from 6:30 to 17:00 min/mile help you self-sort into a group moving at your speed, which means you are running with people near your pace rather than chasing a pack or waiting around. Routes cover park paths, road, and the Beltline. Some runs end with food nearby.

Your First Run

Show up to the listed location for whichever day works for you - Monday and Saturday both meet at Ponce City Market's green space, Wednesday is at Atlanta Chinatown, and Sunday is at Cam Kirk Studios. No one is expecting you to introduce yourself in advance or fill out a form.

When you arrive, the pace cones on Monday and Saturday take the guesswork out of where you belong in the group, so you are not stuck calculating whether you are too slow. If you are unsure what route or distance is happening that week, check their Instagram or Discord before you head out.
