About the Redemption Race
The Redemption Race runs through Westside Park, Atlanta's largest greenspace. The route is scenic, and the park setting gives the whole morning a spacious, open feel. It is a New Year's Day race, so the crowd tends to be a mix of people treating the morning as a reset, not a competition.
Packet pickup and registration open before the start, with an opening ceremony and warm-up just before the gun. A post-race celebration follows and runs for a couple of hours. Parking at the park is not an issue, which makes the logistics straightforward on a holiday morning.
