About the Run Through History

The course runs through South-View Cemetery, a historic burial ground in Atlanta that is rarely open for public events like this. Paved roads wind past shaded stretches and rolling terrain. It is a quieter, more contemplative setting than most road races, and runners are asked to stay on the marked path out of respect for the space.

Packet pickup and day-of registration are both available on site, so you do not need to make a separate trip beforehand. Volunteers are stationed throughout to direct traffic and answer questions. After finishing, there is time to walk designated areas of the grounds and take in some of the history around you.
