Running in St. Louis, Missouri
Forest Park is the heartbeat of St. Louis running. With over 1,300 acres of paths, hills, and open space, it’s one of the best urban running destinations in the Midwest, and most of the city’s running groups take advantage of it.
The St. Louis Track Club has been a fixture of the local scene for years. Big River Running offers training programs from beginner 5K through full marathon distance, plus a free summer speedwork series on local high school tracks. Running Niche hosts a weekly Wednesday evening run from their South City store. Spewak Racing organizes three meetups per week across Kirkwood, Clayton, and Forest Park. The St. Charles Runners Club keeps things going on the west side with Saturday morning runs and midweek group runs through Fleet Feet.
St. Louis runners are committed, community-driven, and always up for a post-run meal. Find a group that matches your pace and the Gateway City will keep you running.
