Running in Dallas, Texas
Dallas has a running scene that covers every style, every pace, and every night of the week. White Rock Lake and the Katy Trail are the two routes you’ll hear about most, and for good reason.
The Dallas Running Club has been around since 1969 and runs training programs out of White Rock Alehouse and Brewery with Saturday long runs and Tuesday evening workouts. Braindead Running Club meets every Monday at Westlake Brewing in Deep Ellum for a free 3 to 5 mile run through Old East Dallas, Klyde Warren Park, and beyond. The 214 Run Club, founded in 2024, already draws a strong Saturday morning crowd near the Katy Trail with post-run coffee at Berkley’s off Knox. Pint Striders, White Rock Running Co-op, and North Texas Trail Runners fill out the rest of the calendar.
The heat will test you in the summer, but the fall through spring running in Dallas is hard to beat. There’s a club for every runner here.
