About the Freedom Run 2026
The race is held at Trinity Groves in Dallas, a tribute to the victims and heroes of the attacks that the event was founded to commemorate. The field draws a strong contingent of first responders, who run at a discount, and the opening ceremonies carry a noticeably solemn, purposeful tone. Several distance options are offered, including a ruck for those who want to carry weight.
Proceeds go to the Dallas Assist the Officer Foundation. The organizers are the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers, so the event has an institutional backbone behind it. The start area at Trinity Groves gives the morning a distinct sense of place.
