About This Club

Ampersand Running Club is a free, non-profit social running group that meets at Ampersand Coffee in Fort Worth three times a week. There's no membership, no signup, and the pace range is described as all paces, inclusive, which makes it a fit for beginners and people who want to run without pressure. They also put on an annual themed event, the Gold Rush race on Trinity Trails.

Who It Suits

This suits beginners and people who want a free, social run with coffee at the end, since that's the stated focus. It's not built for competitive racers or trail specialists looking for technical terrain, and it's not set up for strollers or dogs, so if that's your situation, it's worth planning around.

What a Run With Them Is Like

Runs go out at 3, 5, or 8 miles, so you pick the distance that fits your day, on a mix of roads and trails. The pace is described as inclusive of all paces, and walkers are explicitly welcome, so walk breaks aren't something you need to apologize for. Everyone regroups back at Ampersand Coffee afterward.

Your First Run

Show up at Ampersand Coffee, 3009 Bledsoe St in Fort Worth, ahead of the run time (Mon/Thu 7:30pm or Sat 7am) for coffee beforehand. No signup and no membership are needed, you just show up. Check their Instagram beforehand in case anything's changed for that day. Since the group states all paces and walkers are welcome, going alone or being slower than you'd like isn't something this club is set up to make awkward.
