About This Club

Run It Up Dallas is a social run club in East Dallas built around Black and brown runners, started by Theo Murdaugh. It's not chasing PRs, it's built for people who want to run consistently, get to know their neighbors, and support Black-owned businesses along the way. If you want a running club that's also plugged into the community around it, this is that.

  • Focus on Black and brown communities
  • Patronizes local Black businesses
  • Community impact initiatives
  • Exclusive perks with local businesses
  • Service projects and fundraising

Who It Suits

This suits Black and brown runners, beginners, and people who want a run that comes with community ties, monthly socials, and local business support attached. It's not built for competitive racers chasing splits, and it's not a trail club, everything here is on the road. If you're looking to run completely solo without any group or social component, this probably isn't the fit either.

What a Run With Them Is Like

Runs happen on the road, three times a week, and the pace is open to all levels, so nobody's getting dropped for being slow. Walkers are welcome, which tells you this isn't a group time-trialing every outing. Expect it to feel more like a standing community habit than a training program.

Your First Run

Sign up online through their form before you show up, that's how they let you know where to be. Once you're there, know that walkers are welcome and all levels are the norm, not the exception, so showing up out of shape or unsure of your pace isn't going to be a problem.

The club leans into an inclusive vibe for POC runners specifically, so if that's what you're looking for, you're in the right place. There's no membership required to join a run, so you can just turn up once you've signed up and see how it feels.
