About This Club

White Rock Running Co-op is a free, non-profit running group based at White Rock Lake in Dallas, meeting up every Saturday from Taco Joint at Mockingbird & Abrams. It's built around training, fitness, and friendship rather than racing, which makes it a solid fit if you're looking for a low-pressure way to get out the door on weekends. There's no membership requirement and no cost, so you can just show up.

Who It Suits

This suits social runners and beginners who want a regular Saturday habit without the pressure of pace groups or race training plans. If you're chasing competitive times or training for ultra distances, this isn't built for that, the club is explicit that those goals sit outside what they're set up to do. It also doesn't accommodate dogs or strollers, so leave those at home.

What a Run With Them Is Like

Runs happen on the road, starting and ending at Taco Joint. Walkers are welcome alongside runners, and the group is described as all-paces, so nobody's expecting you to hit a certain speed. The record doesn't specify a set route or distance, so ask at the meetup what people are doing that day.

Your First Run

Show up Saturday to Taco Joint on Mockingbird & Abrams before the run starts, that's the meeting point every week. Since walkers are welcome and all paces are part of the deal, you don't need to worry about being the slowest one there, that's already built into how the group runs.

There's no sign-up or membership to sort out beforehand, you just turn up. Afterward, stick around at Taco Joint, runners get 10% off, which doubles as a built-in reason to hang out and meet people rather than bolt right after.
