Running in Seattle, Washington
Seattle’s running community thrives in conditions that would keep most people inside. Rain doesn’t cancel runs here. It’s just part of the scenery.
The Seattle Running Club has been active since 2005 with a strong trail focus and Monday evening group runs at Flying Lion Brewery in Columbia City. Club Northwest is a Brooks-sponsored competitive team that’s been developing athletes since 1972.
For something more casual, the Green Lake Running Group hosts multiple runs per week, and Brooks Run Club meets at the Brooks Trailhead Store for regular events. Cascade Run Club, PNW Ladies Running Group, and Seattle Front Runners add even more options throughout the week.
Between the Burke-Gilman Trail, Discovery Park, and routes along Puget Sound, Seattle gives you some of the most scenic running in the country.
