Colorado Running Groups
Colorado’s running culture is built into the DNA of the state. The altitude, the trails, the sunshine, and the sheer number of people who move here specifically to be outdoors make it one of the strongest running communities in the country.
Denver is the hub. The HTB Run Club meets every Wednesday at Highland Tap and Burger in LoHi for a free run that includes a post-run dinner. Citius RC has been building community since 2017 with Saturday long runs, Tuesday track sessions, and clear pace groups.
The Colorado Harriers run coached intervals at Denver North High School on Tuesdays and free tempo workouts at Denver Beer Co on Thursdays. Revolution Running offers structured paid training across multiple locations including Washington Park and City Park.
Denver Trail Runners takes things off-road with Thursday and Sunday runs at rotating trailheads across the Front Range. Colorado Frontrunners provides a welcoming LGBTQ+ running space with Saturday morning runs. The Rocky Mountain Road Runners have been going since 1959, making them one of the oldest clubs in the state.
Boulder adds another layer with its own strong club scene and proximity to world-class trails. Runners Roost operates clubs at multiple locations across the Front Range with free weekly runs at each store. Fleet Feet Denver Boulder hosts pub runs, group runs, and gear demos throughout the week.
Between the Lakefront Trail system, Waterton Canyon, the Highline Canal, and hundreds of miles of mountain single track, Colorado gives runners more variety than almost any other state.
The clubs here reflect that range, from casual brewery runs to elite marathon training.
