Cerebral Run Club
Denver, Colorado
Classic brewery run club with inclusive paces and beer rewards
About This Club
Cerebral Run Club meets at Cerebral Brewing in Congress Park, hosted by Denver Athletics, with runs on Monday evenings and a seasonal Wednesday route at West Highland. It's built around pace groups and short mileage, so it works for someone who wants to move at their own speed and then have a beer, not chase a training log.
Highlights
- Hosted by Denver Athletics
- Multiple brewery locations
- Pace-grouped runs
- Loyalty card
- $1 off post-run beers
Who It Suits
This suits beginners, walkers, and people who want the run to be a reason to get together and have a beer afterward, since it's free to join and there's no membership to sign up for first.
It's not going to fit someone chasing race times or long training miles, and there's no trail component here, it's pavement and park paths only. It's also not stroller or dog friendly, so plan around that if you'd normally bring either.

What a Run With Them Is Like
Monday runs go 1-3 miles around City Park on pavement and park paths, split into pace groups from 8-10 min/mile so you're running with people at your speed, not just alongside them.
Distances on offer include 1 mile and 1.6 miles as well as the 1-3 mile range, so you can pick something short if that's what you need that day. Wednesdays run seasonally, March through November, out of the West Highland location instead of Congress Park.
Your First Run
Show up at Cerebral Brewing Congress Park, 1477 Monroe St, about 5-10 minutes before the 6 PM start. When you get there, the move is to find your pace group before you take off, since the runs are grouped from 8-10 min/mile and there's room across that range.
Walkers are welcome, so if you need to walk part or all of it, that's built into how the club runs, not something you have to explain. Bring an ID, since there's a post-run beer deal waiting for you at the brewery when you're done.
