About This Club

Citius RC is a Denver social run club that's been going since 2017, with no dues and no membership sign-up required. It's built around four run days a week at rotating locations across the city, with pace groups spanning 7 to 11 min/mile, so it genuinely works for someone brand new to running as well as someone training seriously.

  • Diverse paces and goals
  • Track workouts
  • Breakfast club runs
  • Multi-sport socializers
  • Pace groups
  • Posted routes
  • Slack communication
  • Strava/Instagram updates

Who It Suits

This suits people who want structure, track work, tempo runs, a set long run, but also want the social payoff of coffee or a brewery afterward, and it works across a real range of paces and abilities including beginners.

It's not built for someone who needs one fixed meeting location every week (it rotates), and it's not for trail runners since everything here is road and track. It's also not set up for stroller users or dog owners.

What a Run With Them Is Like

Saturday is the long run, 8 miles standard with add-on miles for those who want more and a short options/walking group for those who don't, and pace groups mean the pack splits up by speed rather than staying together.

Tuesday is a short early track session (5:30-5:55am) where you bring your own workout. Thursday is a tempo run at 5:30am, and Friday is a breakfast club run at 6am. All of it is on road or track, no trail.

Your First Run

Join the Slack first, that's where run details get communicated, and check Instagram or Strava for the specific route since the meeting spot rotates week to week. After that, just show up to whichever of the four run days fits your schedule.

With pace groups running 7-11 min/mile plus a short/walking option on Saturdays, you're not going to be stuck out front or dropped off the back, there's a group at your speed. There's no cost and nothing to sign up for in advance, so there's nothing stopping you from just turning up.
