Who It Suits
This works well for beginners, people new to Denver, and anyone who wants a social mid-week run with free dinner afterward. It's not the right call if you need walk breaks, want to bring a dog or stroller, run trails, or train early mornings, and if you're racing at an elite level you'll want a more structured group.

What a Run With Them Is Like
Pace ranges wide, so the group isn't locked to one speed, and the route moves through Highlands/LoDo on road and urban terrain. Distance changes with the season: a 4-mile loop in winter, 5k or 10k once summer hits. Runs go year-round, rain or shine, so it's not a fair-weather group.
Your First Run
Get to Highland Tap & Burger, 2219 W 32nd Ave, before 6:30 for the pre-run announcements, that's when the route and any logistics get covered. Before your first run, sign the HTB Run Club waiver, which you'll find in the @mercuriarunning Instagram profile.
There's no membership or advance sign-up needed beyond that waiver. Wide pace ranges mean you won't be the only one running your speed, but walk breaks aren't part of the format here, so plan to run the full distance.

Common Questions About HTB Run Club
Do I need to register before showing up?
No membership or sign-up is required, but you do need to sign the HTB Run Club waiver ahead of time, available in the @mercuriarunning Instagram profile.
What happens if the weather's bad?
The club runs year-round, rain or shine, so bad weather isn't a reason it gets canceled.
Can I bring my dog or a stroller?
No, the club isn't set up as dog-friendly or stroller-friendly.
How far do we actually run?
It depends on the season: a 4-mile loop in winter, and 5k or 10k routes through Highlands/LoDo in summer.
Is the post-run food actually free?
Yes, both the run and the post-run dinner and drink specials at Highland Tap & Burger are free.
Where this comes from: Club details come from each club’s own channels (their site, Meetup, Strava and social posts) and are checked by hand. Group runs move, so confirm the meeting spot on the club’s latest post before you head out. Last updated April 2026.
