Runs With Christ
Charlotte, North Carolina
Faith-based community run blending fitness and spirituality
About This Club
Runs With Christ is a Saturday morning group in Charlotte that combines running with prayer and worship, part of a wider Run With Christ movement. It's free, beginner-friendly, and geared toward younger adults, so it suits people who want their faith and their miles in the same hour rather than two separate parts of the week.
Highlights
- Christian faith focus
- Part of global movement
- Gen Z led
- Free to join
- Inclusive paces
- Faith community
Who It Suits
This is a good fit if you're a beginner or faith-oriented runner who wants Christian community built into your training, especially if you're Gen Z or a young adult. It's not the group for competitive racers chasing pace, and if you're not into the religious component or an early Saturday start, this one's built around exactly those things, so it won't feel like a fit.

What a Run With Them Is Like
You'll meet at 9am at Platform Coffee + Kitchen and run on roads and urban greenways. Walkers are welcome and paces are described as inclusive, so this isn't a group built around hitting splits. Expect faith elements like prayer or worship woven into the run itself, not just tacked on before or after.
Your First Run
Show up at Platform Coffee + Kitchen by 8:45am, fifteen minutes ahead of the 9am start, so you're not walking in as things kick off. Check their Instagram beforehand for any updates to the plan.
Since walkers are welcome and the group is explicitly beginner-friendly, you don't need to worry about being the slowest person there. Afterward, the group heads back to the coffee shop, which is an easy, low-pressure way to meet people without having to make conversation mid-run.

Common Questions About Runs With Christ
Do I need to be religious to join?
The group's whole structure is faith-based, with prayer or worship as part of the run, so it's built for people who want that. It's specifically not ideal for non-religious runners.
Is there a cost or membership to join?
No, it's free and there's no membership required. You can just show up.
Can I bring my dog or a stroller?
No, the group is not listed as dog-friendly or stroller-friendly.
What's the pace like, will I be able to keep up?
Paces are described as inclusive and walkers are explicitly welcome, so there's room to run or walk without holding up the group.
What happens after the run?
The group heads to Platform Coffee + Kitchen, where you met, for coffee afterward.
