About This Club

This is Performance Running Outfitters' store-led group run, meeting out of their Third Ward shop in Milwaukee, with sister runs also happening at Lakefront Brewery and their Brookfield location. It's free, no membership needed, and it runs three times a week, which makes it an easy one to just show up to. It suits people who want a casual, social run with no pressure to hit a certain pace.

  • Store-led with gear access
  • Themed post-run perks
  • Multiple locations
  • App for schedule
  • Free runs
  • Post-run drinks/food
  • Shoe demos
  • Scavenger hunts

Who It Suits

This works well for beginners, walkers, and people who want a casual midweek or weekend run with a social payoff at the end. It's not built for advanced racers looking for structured pace work, and it's not the setup for serious long-distance marathon training or for anyone who wants a run that holds a fixed schedule all year round, since parts of it are seasonal.

What a Run With Them Is Like

Distances run from a 1.5 mile walk option up to 6 miles, with 3 and 3-4 mile routes in between, covering roads, city streets, lakeside paths and river trails around the Third Ward. All paces are welcome, including walkers, so the group isn't built around one target speed. What you get after varies by day: half-priced pints at the brewery on Monday, a free drink at Shake Shack on Wednesday, pancakes and coffee on Saturday.

Your First Run

Head to Performance Running Outfitters at 403 E Buffalo St in the Third Ward, that's the meeting point. Arrive a bit early to check in through the PRO Run Club app, since that's how you get credit for rewards.

You don't need to pre-register, and since all paces and walkers are explicitly welcome, showing up slower or planning to walk part of it isn't going to make you an outlier here. Just check the app beforehand too, since the Saturday schedule shifts in winter and Monday runs only happen April through October.
