About This Club

OMG is a citywide club in Milwaukee running out of Lake Park Pavilion and Colectivo Lakefront, with runs on the Oak Leaf Trail and lakefront paths.

They run every single day of the year, 20+ times a week, across morning and evening slots, which makes this a club for people who want an option on the calendar most days rather than one weekly meetup. It's built for a wide range of paces and includes both hardcore streakers and people just getting into the sport.

  • Most runs/week in WI
  • Daily 365 days
  • Traditions like Monday Medal
  • Beer Mile
  • OMG Winter Points challenge

Who It Suits

This suits runners with unpredictable schedules who want a run option most days, and anyone anxious about pace since the group splits by speed after a shared start and walkers are welcome.

It's also built for people who like the social side, with frequent breakfasts, pub runs, picnics, and Monday traditions layered on top of the running. It's not the fit if you want dedicated trail-only running, a tightly structured competitive program, or if you're bringing a stroller or a dog, none of those are accommodated here.

What a Run With Them Is Like

Typical pace runs 9:00-11:00 per mile, but the group spans glacial to Olympian, and everyone starts together before splitting off by speed. Runs range from 2-8 miles on regular days up to 4-18 mile long runs, on a mix of roads, sidewalks, lakefront paths, and trail. Because there are so many runs each week, the distance and terrain on any given day depends on which one you pick, so checking Meetup before you go matters.

Your First Run

Check Meetup for the specific day's time and location since it shifts across their 20+ weekly runs, then head to Lake Park Pavilion or Colectivo Lakefront as your default starting points. When you arrive, ask for Patrick, Veronica, or whoever's hosting that day, they're used to pointing newcomers in the right direction.

Everyone starts as one group and then splits by pace, so showing up slow or walking isn't a problem, walkers are explicitly welcome and the pace range already runs from glacial on up. Leave the headphones at home, this crew talks while they run.
