About the Lake Michigan Half Marathon
The course follows the Oak Leaf Trail south along the shoreline, passing through a string of lakefront parks before turning back north to the finish at Cupertino Park. The trail is paved the whole way, and the lake stays close enough that you get open water views for much of the run, broken up by wooded stretches between the parks. Fall foliage fills in the gaps.
