About the We ❤️ Teachers 5K - Charlotte
The course runs through McAlpine Park, and the atmosphere leans toward a neighborhood celebration as much as a race. There are age group awards, plus a handful of special categories honoring teachers, parent-child pairs, and the school that brings the biggest crew. A band and food carry the morning along.
Packet pickup and registration both happen race morning, so you can join on the spot with a card. The post-race celebration runs for a few hours, with an awards ceremony wrapping up not long after the last finishers come through.

The We ❤️ Teachers 5K - Charlotte has been held every year since at least 2026. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Oct 25, 2026.
