About the 2027 Water For People Charlotte 5K
The course runs through McAlpine Creek Park on packed gravel, mostly flat with some shade overhead. It is a public path, so you will share it with walkers and cyclists out on their own day. The terrain keeps things moving, and the trees give you a break from open sun.
The race benefits Water For People, a nonprofit focused on bringing clean water and sanitation to communities across several continents. A virtual option is available for anyone who cannot make it to Charlotte in person, with suggested routes provided for those running remotely.
