About the 2026 UNIVERSITY CITY TURKEY TROT
The course runs through the University City neighborhood on Thanksgiving morning, a route designed to be accessible to most anyone who wants to get out and move before the holiday meal. There is a kids' fun run alongside the main event, and a costume contest draws plenty of spectators and participants who take it seriously.
Packet pickup happens at a local running store in the days before the race, with no race-morning option, so plan ahead. After the race, there is food, music, and games at the finish. Runners are also encouraged to bring non-perishable items to support a food drive benefiting the local community.
