About the Teal Diva 5k for Gynecologic Cancers
The course runs through McAlpine Creek Park, a wooded park with paved paths on the southeast side of Charlotte. The race is organized around gynecologic cancer awareness, and the atmosphere reflects that: a survivor photo happens before the start, vendors are set up early, and there is a kids' dash after the main race wraps up.
Packet pickup is offered the evening before at a local running store, then again on race morning at the park shelter just past the bridge near the start. Parking is managed by attendants and police at the entrance, and if the lots fill, overflow parking is available nearby with a free shuttle to the start.
