About the Run the Creek 5K & Family Fun Run

The route rolls through the Highland Creek neighborhood with enough hills to keep you honest throughout, then opens up to a flat, quick finish. The race benefits local public schools in the area, so the crowd around the start tends to include a lot of families with kids.

Packet pickup runs on the two evenings before race day at a local running store and then at a neighborhood sports club, with a morning-of option at the start area, which is an elementary school. Parking is at a middle school on the same campus, with overflow at a nearby golf course. After you finish, there are mimosa flights and bagel sandwiches at the post-race gathering.
