About the NODA Halloween Freaky 5k
The course runs through NoDa, one of Charlotte's older neighborhoods, on city roads with gentle rolling terrain. No significant climbs, just enough variation to keep it interesting. Halloween costumes are part of the deal, and there is a costume contest alongside the overall race prizes, so the field tends to look more like a parade than a typical road race.
Packet pickup runs the evening before the race at a local venue, with a second window on race morning before the start. The post-race party, including the prize and costume announcements, takes place at Great Wagon Road Distilling. Dogs on leashes are welcome on the course.
