About the 2026 MLK Dream Run
The race starts and finishes at Portland Community College's Cascade Campus on N Killingsworth St, with several distance options fanning out through the surrounding neighborhood. Course maps are sent to registered participants ahead of race day, and the organizer holds a pre-race shakeout run so you can walk or jog the route before you race.
Packet pickup runs the full day before at the campus, alongside live music, a vendor market, and food. Race-morning pickup opens early, but the prior-day option is worth it. After the race, the finish area stays active with music, raffle drawings, and a vendor village; there are grilled cheese sandwiches and cold drinks at the finish.
