About the CPI Security Charlotte Turkey Trot

The race starts and finishes at SouthPark Mall, with several distance options ranging from a tot-friendly dash up through a longer run. The course runs through the surrounding roads and brings together a wide cross-section of the city on Thanksgiving morning, from serious runners to families pushing strollers. A DJ, fire trucks, and a live national anthem set the tone before the gun.

Packet pickup happens at several spots around the area in the weeks leading up to race day, including local Fleet Feet and Dick's locations, plus sessions at the mall itself. Race-morning pickup is available for a fee, paid in advance. Post-race, there is beer from a couple of local breweries, and Harris Teeter provides water, granola bars, and bananas at the finish.
