This Turkey Trot runs in the Davis Lake area of Charlotte on a holiday morning. The course details are not elaborate, and the race draws a neighborhood crowd. Two local causes share the proceeds, a children's swim team and a regional children's hospital, so the morning has a purpose beyond the miles.
