About the Adrenaline Rush 5K
The course runs along the water at Fletcher's Cove Boathouse, so there is moving scenery the whole way. The race raises money for adrenal cancer research, and participants can direct their team's donations to a specific institution. Green or zebra-print attire is a common sight on the course, a nod to adrenal cancer and rare disease awareness.
Packet pickup happens the morning of the race, before the start, with music and a chance to meet other participants in the staging area. The boathouse setting gives the start area an open, outdoor feel rather than a street-corner scramble.
