About This Club

Every Person Run Club is a free, twice-weekly social run club based in Washington DC's Navy Yard neighborhood. It is built around the idea that pace does not determine whether you belong - walkers are explicitly welcome alongside runners of any experience level.

  • 5K training program
  • Race training programs
  • Community events

Who It Suits

This club genuinely suits beginners, walkers, and anyone who has been nervous that a group run means getting dropped - the pace-inclusive setup is the whole point, not an afterthought. If you are chasing a specific time goal or want a structured workout with pace groups, they do not advertise that kind of program, though they do offer race training for those building toward an event.

What a Run With Them Is Like

Wednesday evenings are a 3-mile easy-paced run starting at 6:30 PM from Tap99 at 1250 Half Street SE, with food and drinks at Tap99 afterward.

Sunday mornings cover a typical 5 miles, with start times that shift by season - 8:30 AM in winter and spring, 8:00 AM in summer, and 7:00 AM during fall marathon training, so check before you show up. When race training is on the schedule, distances stretch beyond those baselines. All of it is on urban streets.

Your First Run

Head to Tap99 at 1250 Half Street SE in Navy Yard - that is the regular home base for both weekday and weekend runs, though on the first Wednesday of each month the group meets at lululemon on F Street NW instead, so double-check the date.

There is no membership, no sign-up form, and no fee - you just show up. The Wednesday run is described as easy-paced and the club's stated focus is on running together rather than hitting a specific time, which means showing up slower than you think everyone else is does not make you a problem.
