About the Janney 5K & Fun Run
This is an elementary school PTA race rooted in the Tenleytown/AU Park neighborhood. Both distances start in front of the school on Albemarle and finish behind it on the Yuma side, so the school itself is the centerpiece of the whole morning. The shorter fun run follows the main race, and an awards ceremony wraps things up on the turf field out back.
The race week packet pickup happens at the school, which keeps things simple for families already dropping kids off. If the entry fee is a barrier, the organizers ask that you reach out directly to the school rather than skip it, which tells you something about what kind of event this is.
