About This Club

Scriptown Running Club meets Thursdays at 6 PM out of Scriptown Brewery in Omaha's Blackstone District, and it's built around run/jog/walk, not pace groups. It suits people who want a weekly reason to move and then sit down with a beer afterward, not people chasing a training plan. It's free, no membership needed.

  • Brewery-based
  • Blackstone District's only running club
  • Run/walk/jog inclusivity
  • Post-run beer discount
  • Air-conditioned venue
  • Casual atmosphere

Who It Suits

This fits beginners, walkers, and people who want a casual, low-pressure social run with a drink at the end. It's not built for competitive racers or anyone doing structured long-distance training, and it won't work for early morning runners since it meets Thursdays at 6 PM in the evening.

What a Run With Them Is Like

You'll cover Field Club Trail, a paved trail, at whatever mix of running, jogging, or walking works for you that day. Distance is flexible rather than a fixed route length, so the run bends to who shows up. Afterward the group heads back to Scriptown Brewery's tasting room or patio for a discounted pint.

Your First Run

Show up at the tasting room at 6 PM in your running gear. There's no signup, no form, nothing to do ahead of time, you just walk in and go. Because it's explicitly run/jog/walk with all paces welcome, there's no pace group to slot into and no risk of being the slow one holding up a pack, walking is a normal part of the run, not a fallback.

If you're nervous about going alone, the whole structure (brewery start, casual atmosphere, discounted pint after) is set up for people arriving solo and ending up at a table with others anyway.
