About This Club

This is the run club run out of Fleet Feet Omaha, meeting from the Legacy store on Wright St as well as a second location, with free weekly group runs open to anyone and separate paid training classes for people building toward a half or full marathon. It suits someone who wants a consistent, no-cost place to run during the week plus the option to pay into structured marathon prep later.

Who It Suits

Good fit for beginners, people training for a half marathon, and runners who want pace groups and structure rather than winging it solo. Less of a fit if you're looking for trail miles, since the terrain here is road and track, or if what you actually want is a loose, beer-first social run.

What a Run With Them Is Like

Weekday runs (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday at 6pm) tend to run 3-6 miles on road and track, with pacers covering 9:00 to 12:00 min/mile so beginner and advanced runners are both accounted for.

Saturday runs (7-10:30am) stretch longer, up to 20+ miles for people in marathon training blocks, so the distance you get depends heavily on which day you show up. What happens after varies by location: the Aksarben runs typically head to a bar or restaurant afterward, while it's optional at other meetups.

Your First Run

Head to Fleet Feet Omaha Legacy at 17660 Wright St, but check the store's calendar first since exact meetup details can shift. You don't need to join anything or pay for the free runs, just show up.

Get there a little early if you want a shoe fitting, and if you want to know where the pace groups will be, email sarah@fleetfeetomaha.com ahead of time so you're not guessing which pack to fall in with. Walkers are welcome and paces run from 9:00 to 12:00 min/mile, so there's room even if you're not fast.
