About This Club
Aksarben Run Club is a free, no-membership social running group meeting twice a week in Omaha's Aksarben neighborhood. Founded in 2023, it's built around running plus hanging out afterward, not chasing times. If you want a reason to get out twice a week and don't care about being fast, this fits.

Who It Suits
This suits beginners, walkers, and people who want the run to lead into a social hangout at a local restaurant or bar afterward. It's not set up for highly competitive racers looking for structured pace groups or serious training. If you're after strict interval work or a stroller-friendly or dog-friendly setup, this isn't built for that.

What a Run With Them Is Like
Runs happen Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings on roads and neighborhood streets around Aksarben. Pace is open, all levels are welcome, and walkers are welcome too, so there's no single group speed you need to match. Distances vary rather than following a fixed route each time.
Your First Run
Show up at Inner Rail Food Hall or Aksarben Village at 67th & Center, either Wednesday at 6pm or Saturday at 10:30am. There's no sign-up or membership required, you just show up. Since walkers are welcome and all paces run together, you won't be holding up a pace group by going slower, there isn't one fixed pace to fall behind on. Check @aksarbenrunclub on Instagram beforehand if you want a heads up on that week's plan.

Common Questions About Aksarben Run Club
Do I need to sign up or pay before showing up?
No. There's no cost to join and no membership required, you just show up at Inner Rail Food Hall or Aksarben Village at the listed times.
Can I bring my dog or a stroller?
The record lists this club as not stroller-friendly or dog-friendly, so plan to run without either.
What happens after the run?
The group heads to local restaurants and bars for post-run socializing, that's a built-in part of the Wednesday and Saturday meetups.
Is it just one route every time?
Distances are listed as varying rather than fixed, so expect the route or length to change week to week.
I'm nervous about being the slowest person there, is that a real concern?
The club states all paces and all fitness levels run together, and walkers are explicitly welcome, so there isn't a single pace group you'd be falling behind.
Where this comes from: Club details come from each club’s own channels (their site, Meetup, Strava and social posts) and are checked by hand. Group runs move, so confirm the meeting spot on the club’s latest post before you head out. Last updated April 2026.
