Who It Suits

This suits Muslim runners who want a group where faith and running are connected, along with beginners and walkers who want a low-pressure entry point in the Loop. It's not the fit if you're chasing competitive pace, want technical trail terrain, or want a formal membership structure, since none of that is what this club offers.

What a Run With Them Is Like

Runs cover 3-5 miles on pavement along the Riverwalk, with all paces welcome and walkers included. It's a flat, urban surface, not trail, so you're not dealing with technical footing. The club also runs a Strava team for city challenges if you want to track miles between meetups.

Your First Run

There's no walk-in storefront here, so check the @chi.mrc Instagram or email chicagomuslimrunningclub@gmail.com before you go to get the current meetup spot and time in the Loop/Riverwalk area. Joining the Strava club is also worth doing so you can see what challenges or collab events are coming up, including things tied to brands like HOKA or Patagonia.

Since all paces and walkers are welcome and there's no membership to sign up for, you can just show up once you've confirmed the details. Being new or slower isn't a barrier the club is structured around, it's built to include exactly that.
