About the ZooRun5K, 10K & ZooKidsDash

The course runs through Zoo Miami, which means the surroundings are unlike most road races. The shorter routes stay on paved pathways inside the zoo grounds, while the longer distance pushes out into the zoo's outer perimeter and through a rare Pine Rocklands habitat, where the surface shifts between pavement and natural, unpacked trail.

After the race, there is a finish festival with local restaurants, live music, and a beer garden. Runners also get access to the zoo itself once they finish, so the morning stretches well past the finish line if you want it to.
