About the Walk a Mile in Their Shoes
The in-person course runs along the Atlanta BeltLine Eastside Trail, a paved path that cuts through the east side of the city. The route doubles as a qualifying event for the Peachtree Road Race, so it draws a range of people, from those chasing a time to those walking in memory of someone.
The start area is at Park Tavern, right next to Piedmont Park. Check-in and race-morning registration both happen there, so you do not need to arrive having done anything in advance. A virtual option also exists for those who cannot make it in person.
