About the Velvet Hammer 5K & 10K

The Velvet Hammer runs through Dallas with a brewery as its home base, Peticolas Brewing Company anchoring both the start and the post-race scene. The course covers a road route through the surrounding neighborhood, and the event draws runners and walkers across a couple of distance options, from a shorter loop to a longer one.

There is no race-morning packet pickup, so plan ahead. Packets can be mailed, or picked up at several windows in the days before the race, including sessions at the brewery itself. After you finish, food trucks are selling outside, a live band takes the stage, and draft beer from Peticolas is being poured.
