About the 2026 Two Rivers Turkey Trot (3K) & Tater Trot (1K) Fun Run
The course winds through the back nine of Langston Golf Course, skirting the Anacostia Tidal Marsh. Underfoot you get a mix of grass, gravel, and pavement, so road shoes work but trail shoes are fine too. The area is tucked away enough that most runners who live nearby have never seen it from this angle. The race benefits a local public charter school and is put on entirely by volunteers.
Running strollers with large wheels are welcome on the course; standard strollers and dogs are not. All participants sign a waiver on-site at the start. The event runs rain or shine, with cancellation only in the case of lightning or severe weather.
