Washington, DC
This is a school fundraiser race organized by a parent-teacher association, with the entry fees going directly toward staff salaries and programs that the public school district does not fund. The course runs through the surrounding neighborhood on open streets, so you share the sidewalks with regular traffic and need to stay aware. It draws families, teachers, and neighbors from the school community.
