About the Coach Spo's 5K
The course starts and finishes at a children's hospital in Miami, then moves through nearby residential neighborhoods, passing the Biltmore Hotel along the way. The surroundings are tree-lined, with enough going on scenically to carry you through.
Coach Spoelstra shows up in person, and there is a group warm-up before the start to get everyone moving. After the finish, he speaks about health and giving back. The race benefits a children's hospital and a charitable fund, and runners who raise a certain amount through fundraising can have their entry fee refunded.
